Lily, Windy and the Witch
A couple of weeks back, we wrote about Look Into My Eyes, a view on life through the lens of Asperger’s Syndrome. The work that we proofread, though, is hugely varied. This time, we’re promoting the first in a series of children’s books by one of our favourite clients, Yvonne Carlin-Page.
We’ve been working with Yvonne from the very early days of JD Editorial, and she’s written a series of fiction and non-fiction books for adults; this, however, is her first foray into the world of children’s fiction!
Lily, Windy and the Witch is a fanciful flight through the north-east of England. Lily, led by her trusty companions Bast (a snooty cat), Windy (a feisty fairy) and Slobberchops (a stinky dog), flies on a magical map having had three wishes unexpectedly come true… Only not quite in the way she’d intended. She becomes embroiled in a dangerous journey (while real-world time is slowed to a standstill) across the coastline, and doubts whether she is really brave enough to help her new-found friends fight Demeanor, the Queen of Witches.
